The original Iron Instinct shafts are available in three distinct colors and specs for long(456), middle(789), and short(PGS) irons. Each shaft is specifically designed (progressive weighting and tip flex) to bring out the best performance of each club.
In longer irons, the slightly lighter, more flexible shaft is more forgiving and gets the ball up in the air quicker; while the mid- and scoring iron shafts are firmer for more control and feel, yet allow pinpoint accuracy in a lighter package.
One notable advantage of the Instinct shaft is that a golfer can choose to fit a set of irons with the same spec shafts, or to pick and choose shafts for irons that are more difficult to hit, like the 4 or 5 iron.
Instinct I shafts are total 39" and parallel 0.370" tip, and do not require tipping. For firmer feel, shaft tipping recommendations are as below.
* [80 ~ 90mph driver SS] Fit into irons as it without tipping the shafts
* [90~100mph driver SS] Tipping recommendations as above for firmer shafts
